9th Annual ASPO conference

The ASPO 9 Organizing committee welcomes the voices of two honorary speakers from the European Commission to the European Parliament meeting on May 3rd. Tassos Haniotis, EU Commission, DG AGRI is Director of Economic Analysis, Perspectives and Evaluations at the Directorate General for Agriculture of the European Commission. Jan Panek, European Commission, DG ENERGY is the Head of Unit "Coal and Oil" in the Directorate-General for Energy of the European Commission in Brussels.

This special event is organized by the Greens/European Free Alliance group in the European Parliament , in collaboration with ASPO Belgium and Peakoil Nederland, which will take place on May 3rd 2011 in the EU Parliament building in Brussels, Belgium.  It is possible to register via a link at the registration page. The meeting is public and can be attended free of  charge.

The one-day event will address two topics: A) Peak Oil Evidence and Peak OIl Activities in Different EU Member States, and B) The EU and Peak Oil - Analyses and Policy Measures.
